how the invoice actually works
You pay for a submission, not for hours of hope. A base fee covers the writing and assembly; a success fee lands only when the award does. If a call turns out to be the wrong fit, we tell you before you spend a week on it.
start a proposalbefore you commit a deadline week
Three weeks is comfortable for a foundation ask; federal packets want six or more. We'll take a tighter turnaround if the guidelines are clean and you're quick with answers — but we'd rather tell you honestly when a deadline can't be done well than hand you a rushed draft.
The funder or the open call, the deadline, and forty-five unhurried minutes on the phone about your program. If you have last year's application, a budget, or an annual report, send them — but nothing is required beyond the listening call.

The success fee is tied to the award, so it simply doesn't come due. Either way you get a debrief — funded, or ready to try the next door — and a packet you can adapt and re-submit elsewhere.
